As the Media Goes Crazy Over Trump’s Jerusalem Decision, Brit Hume Reminds Everyone of 22-Year US Policy

Not everybody in the mainstream media was infuriated by Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

President Trump said his move was based solely on common sense.

“Today we finally acknowledge the obvious: that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital,” Trump announced Wednesday. “This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality.”

He also stated that he believes this decision will finally lead to long-lasting peace in the frequently volatile region.

After Trump’s announcement, the mainstream media went crazy, attacking the president decision. MSNBC’s Andera Mitchell even suggested that this historic move was the president’s plot to help Republican Roy Moore win a special election in Alabama.

After all the attacks Fox News’ Brit Hume’s posted a tweet educating everybody that recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has been U.S. law for 22 years now.

Not everyone appreciated Hume’s tweet:

However, other Twitter users didn’t share the “people will DIE” narrative, and found Hume’s tweet to be accurate:

Conservative Ben Shapiro, Trump’s loud critic, praised the president, saying Jerusalem should be under Israel’s control, adding that President Trump’s move was an act of “political bravery and moral courage.”
